The heart of the hamlet: stone houses, vaulted passages, the church and open views over the Valle del Verde.
Why go
Guinadi is not a place to visit by ticking off a list of monuments. Come to walk slowly through a mountain hamlet that is still lived in, where houses, walls and passages tell an older story of building with the slope.
What to look for
From the village entrance, take time to reach San Pietro church, the war memorial, the old houses and the vaulted passages. Look at thresholds, lintels, repaired stones and the views that appear between two façades: these details are what make Guinadi interesting.
The right way to discover it
Allow an unhurried hour, longer if you stop often or continue towards the water points. The village is small, but it asks you to slow down: some houses are private and the lanes remain places of everyday life.
The right check
